The day I visited Trogir

During my trip to Split, Croatia, my friend and I decided to venture beyond the city and explore the nearby historic gem, Trogir. Our main destination was an abandoned hotel, Motel SOLINE, but along the way, we discovered the charming beauty of Trogir's small island and its picturesque bridges. Armed with my Point and shoot Nikon TW20 loaded with a roll of Ilford Delta 100, I embarked on a thrilling photography adventure.

We kicked off the day with an early start, boarding a boat from Split to Trogir. The journey began with a bit of excitement as the boat tilted from side to side upon departing the port. Thankfully, it quickly regained balance, allowing us to relax and enjoy the scenic ride.

Upon arriving at Trogir's port after an hour-long boat journey, I wasted no time in taking out my camera. A new city meant unexplored spots and countless photo opportunities, and I enthusiastically captured the beauty of Trogir through my lens. In just under 2 hours, I had already used up an entire roll of the Ilford Delta 100 film.

Trogir's old city was a sight to behold, and what caught my eye were the charming small bridges that connected the island to the rest of the city. The sight of little boats gently anchored at the edge of the island added to the enchanting atmosphere. Each shot I took was a treasure in itself, capturing the unique essence of this historic location.

Finally, we reached our destination, the abandoned Motel SOLINE. Crossing a little barrier, we ventured into the hotel premises. It was here that I truly appreciated the wonders of the Ilford Delta 100 film. The film's ability to capture intricate details, even in challenging lighting conditions, was exceptional. I was particularly drawn to the film's contrast, which brought an added punch to my images, setting them apart from the typical flat render of the Ilford hp5.

Exploring Trogir was an unforgettable experience, made all the more special by my photographic journey with the Ilford Delta 100 film. From the scenic boat ride to discovering hidden corners of the city and the abandoned Motel SOLINE, every moment was a visual delight. If you're a photography enthusiast looking to capture stunning details and contrast in your shots, I highly recommend giving Ilford Delta 100 a try. This adventure has left me with a collection of photographs that I will cherish for a lifetime, and I can't wait to embark on more such explorations in the future.
